Boston Pizza restaurants offer a casual dining setting with over 100 menu items including gourmet pizzas made with our signature hand pressed dough. We also have mouth-watering pastas and a wide variety of appetizers, salads, entrées and desserts. The restaurant is perfect for families, teams and groups of all ages and our sports bars are packed with big screen TVs to catch all types of sports games. These are the things that keep our guests coming back again and again. As Boston Pizza continues to grow nationally and internationally, so does our ability to play a positive role in the communities where we live and work. Since Boston Pizza opened its doors in Edmonton, Alberta in 1964 a spirit of giving back to the communities in which we operate has been a philosophy and value we hold dear. To formalize the first 25 years of charitable activity, Boston Pizza established the Boston Pizza Foundation in 1990, a public foundation focused on raising funds to help people of all ages living in and with difficult circumstances throughout Canada. Our commitment to local and national charities has always been a top priority through both franchisee and corporate initiatives. This dedication is reflected in a variety of programs and promotions from corporate golf tournaments and charity walks to national marketing programs such as our Valentine?s Day Heart-Shaped Pizza promotion. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $10.5 million for our three national charities: the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Kids Help Phone as well as a host of other regional and local charities. The Boston Pizza Timmins restaurant contributes to the Boston Pizza Foundation by hosting various fundraising events and participating in regional and national fundraising campaigns. All money gathered at the store level is collected by the Foundation and then distributed to the appropriate charities. Over the last year we have demonstrated our solid commitment to giving back to the community by giving approx. $5000 to various community groups, schools, sports groups and non-profits. Besides monetary support we have also provided hundreds of pizzas to groups to feed volunteers, for fundraisers, or as donations and prizes. The restaurant looks forward to continuing to play an integral role in the community.
