From membership details to updates on its members' advocacy projects, the Timmins Chamber of Commerce's 2013-2014 annual report outlines the work done on its members' behalf throughout the previous year. First released at the Chamber's 65th Annual General Meeting and President's Dinner on Sept. 17, the twelve-page report includes a summary of the Chamber's provincial and national projects. These include pushing the province to do proper research before considering the sale of Crown corporations, such as the ONTC and Ontera; pushing the province to lower energy rates; as well as pushing for federal infrastructure funding for mining projects of major economic significance. The report also includes updates on the projects the Chamber's Municipal Affairs, Timmins Young Professionals, and Member Services and Events Committees have been working on in order bring the best value to membership and make doing business in Timmins better.
