    "I grew up in Dublin, Ohio, Wendy’s hometown and home sweet home for me. I’ve worked in culinary innovation for the brand for 15 years and no two days are ever the same. We dream up the new items you see on Wendy’s menu. The best part about the job? There’s always something different and exciting to work on. I currently manage breakfast, beverage and dessert menu innovations for Wendy’s U.S. business. The Orange Dreamsicle Frosty and Cinnabon® Pull-Apart are two of the newest innovations I’ve worked on… and I’m proud to see the customer excitement behind them. Sometimes, family or friends will give me feedback on a menu item they want Wendy’s to bring back or share an idea for a new item they want to try. Inspiration can come from anywhere and I love that, at Wendy’s, we’re encouraged to bring creativity to the table when we’re brainstorming ideas. I take pride in what our Culinary team does. I don’t think people understand all the work it takes to ensure each menu item meets Wendy’s quality and food safety standards, and delivers the cravability our fans know and expect – that’s a big job! New menu offerings and fresh, craveable flavors attract new customers and bring fans back time and again. Our ultimate goal is simple: serve the best food in the QSR industry!"     During the month of April, our restaurant support teams recognized Earth Day all month long. Our second annual Earth Month consisted of various activities including a virtual cooking class, educational webinars, a clothing drive and a food drive at our Restaurant Support Center in Dublin benefiting the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Additionally, in partnership with Keep Ohio Beautiful and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Wendy’s employees planted 40 native trees at a local state park. These trees will help improve water quality, prevent erosion, and create habitat for local wildlife. #GoodDoneRight

    Last week, Wendy’s Caregivers Employee Resource Group (GiveCare) hosted Take Your Child to Work Day at our Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, OH. Employees from Wendy’s and Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc. were invited to bring their children, ages 8 to 18, to learn more about how their parents help bring our iconic brand to life. The kids experienced a behind the scenes look at how Wendy’s commercials are made, were treated to lunch from the culinary team responsible for our fresh, high-quality and innovative food, and learned more about the mission of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Thank you to GiveCare and everyone who participated for making it such a special day!

    "Meeting customers where and how they want to order Wendy’s is an important part of our brand’s growth strategy. My job as Digital Product Owner at Wendy’s is to help ensure our mobile app and the experience with our third-party delivery partners, DoorDash, Uber Eats and GrubHub, are the best in the industry. Our digital customers are some of our most loyal customers and we have an opportunity to delight them with every transaction. For example, a significant feature of our digital channels is our offers and loyalty program. It’s almost like a game. Once you hit a certain number of points you can unlock free food. The thing I love most about what I do is that every day offers new challenges and opportunities to learn about and help support the business. I also love that Wendy’s is a people-first company. I see that with our team every day and I believe it’s a big reason why this brand has been around for 55 years. Wendy’s is developing into a best-in-class technology company that also happens to serve the QSR industry’s best hamburgers.     At Wendy's, we take pride in building inclusive and equitable workplaces and communities through people. Recently, we hosted students from the Greene County Career Center in Xenia, Ohio as they connected with area leaders as part of their Global Leadership class. At our Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, Ohio, Marcell Crawford and Ani Binishi discussed how the Company supports and engages with our seven Employee Resource Group to ensure that the voices of all backgrounds are represented, helping to create a workplace environment where everyone feels empowered to be their authentic selves. They also shared the importance of bringing empathy, self-awareness, and a spirit of collaboration to the workplace and how this contributes to Wendy's growth and innovation. The students left feeling inspired to apply these lessons to their future job searches and leadership developing with one remarking, "I had no idea how Wendy's could be a part of so many important diverse programs! I learned that in whatever field you are in, you can still help out in others."
