Magris Talc is seeking to add a Health and Safety Coordinator to our Canadian Operations Team. This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking to highlight their health and safety experience and skills, while continuing to grow in this emerging field of work in the mining and industrial sectors. As the valued employee in this role, you will bring a demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) along with Mining and Industrial work experience. You will have the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders while exhibiting effective organization and communication skills. You have the ability to flex and adapt to changing conditions and can effectively prioritize operational safety support requirements and emerging situations. This role is based out of the Timmins office location and in addition requires travel to our Penhorwood mine, mill and Foleyet rail loadout facilities. This is a great opportunity for an individual seeking to have a primary responsible for our Penhorwood surface material activities including mining operation, tailings management facility, dam construction and management of the associated environmental portfolio. As the valued employee in this role, you will bring a demonstrated ability to strategize, lead and manage the scope of all surface related functions in mining and environment. You have the experience and ability to collaborate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders while exhibiting highly defined organizational and strategic skills and knowledge in the outlined functions. You have exceptional project management skills and a strong understanding of applicable mining and environmental legislation and regulations.
